Recent news stories have described a small but possibly growing movement taking place in Europe - that of creationism over evolution, with the belief that believing in evolution is a root cause of world problems.
At the same time, according to an article written by Daniel Pipes in the Jewish World Review, "... the UK government has decided that terrorism by Muslims in the name of Islam is actually unrelated to Islam, or even anti-Islamic."
And here, in the USA, we are finding a growing Obama cult, made up of the young, new voter, and the not -quite-middle age college graduate, both groups relating to Obama as a cult figure.
Lastly, but just as important, there is a strong possibility that when McClain receives the Republican nomination, he will select (forced to select?) Huckabee as his VP candidate , which, if true, and Obama is the Democrat nominee, we're going to have a fuckabee situation - sort of like between a rock and a hard place but more like "up the creek without a paddle".
All of the above proves that evolution is a very real science - because there has to have evolved a powerful "dumb gene" affecting the mental well-being of millions of people worldwide.
Let's look at the seriousness of the current situation:
1. The European evolving belief in creationism, as reported, would fit very well with Huckabee's belief that there should be an American shariah - that our nations laws should be based upon biblical writings.
2, The appeasement of Islam in Great Britain, if allowed to occur, would be a very serious blow to Western democracy. For mor information read the Pipes column,
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/0208/pipes021208.php3. This is not new information, but apparently the radical elements in British society have been, and are, too cautious (afraid?) to stop those ant-Western sentiments and actions.
3. Voters in this country flocking to become one with the Obama cult, particularly the college educated group, prove the point that a college education, these days, does not prepare one for rational, everyday thinking. What the result of this will be, as it currently appears, is that if Obama receives the nomination, and somehow wins the election, rather than a "unifying force" being created, we will be facing class warfare, for it is the working class voter who supports Clinton, but the voter who either has no experience, doesn't care, or believes he/she is above the fray, who supports Obama.
4. Should McClain, with Huckabee as a running mate, win the election, it can only be hoped he lives at least until his mother's age, for, based upon Huckabee's rhetoric, this country may never be the same as it was created, at least not for a long time.
5. With Obama as President, there will be a lot of pretty disappointed voters - the ones who voted for him - kind of a repeat of the Bush years, in that we will have a man who thinks he can "change" the country and the world, and who "hopes" that everything will work out OK, but who really doesn't have any idea nor knowledge of what to do.
I heard and saw, on television, Obama's "round table" bit a couple of days ago, wherein he was talking about education. He didn't come up with anything new - just repeated what has been known for, oh what, 30 years or more? Master teachers, more money, and the rest of the pedagogical b.s. that education adminstrators love to speak. My late wife was both a teacher and principal, in elementary and middle schools. When she was in her senior year, around 53 years ago, she went through practice teaching for, I believe, 6 months. She was observed and graded. When she graduated, and was certified as a teacher, she then was observed during her first term, and continued taking courses designed to help her become a more efficient teacher.
But all the money in the world, and all the programs in the world, are not much of a help if two important items do not exist - the willingness for the child to learn, and parents/parent who wants the child to succeed and works to make sure the kid assumes his or her responsibilities as a student.
So spouting multi-paragraphs of seemingly knowledgeable talk doesn't mean a thing. Make it short and sweet - education will succeed when kids want to learn, when parents get off their rear-ends and make sure the kids do what they have to, and make sure the teacher unions, if in place, help create a real learning environment by helping to keep a good balance between staff and administration, rather than just looking for members to increase their treasuries.
If Obama, in the round table discussion, stated these things, I guess I was like a lot of kids nowadays - just not paying attention.
These are important days - days which call for serious rational thinking - thinking with the brain, not the heart.
